Museum Mural by Fred Battle in EdeMuseum Murals

For Museum Murals, street artists take inspiration from artworks in twenty museum collections. They turn that inspiration into a mural in the vicinity of the museum. In the middle of a residential area, on an old factory wall or along a railway line: the Museum Murals make art accessible to everyone and make the whole of the Netherlands a little more beautiful. Eventually, twenty life-size murals will be on display all across the country.

The mural in Ede is created by Fred Battle. He has been drawing and painting since childhood and began making graffiti in 2002. Nowadays, the artist mainly focuses on painting in the studio. He reserves making murals for special occasions. In September, he will give a flat in Ede a new appearance with his mural inspired by the Kröller-Müller collection.

Museum Murals is an initiative of the Mauritshuis and is made possible by the participants of the VriendenLoterij.
