In the summer of 1967, a dual exhibition by Anthony Caro and Eduardo Paolozzi is on display in Otterlo. Both artists work with heavy metals, such as iron, steel and aluminium. Caro’s sculptures are given a place in the sculpture garden. ‘I feel that the surroundings will be perfect for your work’, Oxenaar tells him enthusiastically. Paolozzi’s work is presented in the museum. He expresses his appreciation to Oxenaar: ‘I will always remember the excellent presentation created by your efforts.’
